Cheong-Gye-Cheon (Cheong-Gye Stream) is an 8.4 km long, modern public recreation space in downtown Seoul, South Korea. The massive urban renewal project is on the site of a stream that flowed before the rapid post-war economic development required it to be covered by transportation infrastructure. The $900 million project initially attracted much public criticism, but after opening in 2005, has become popular among city residents and tourists.
I loved how you showed the before and after of the region in which the man-made landmark was built. It made a big difference in the look of the city. I really like the fact that people can go and put their feet in the water because I could never see this happening in a river surrounded by a city. It is very interesting!
ReplyDeleteI have been there, and it is good place to visit with friends and family anytime.
ReplyDeleteSince it has been changed, this place has become must visit place in Seoul.
